The Benefield House Policies

Check-In / Check-Out

Check-in time is between 3:30 and 7:00 pm. If arriving outside of check-in time please call to make arrangements.

Early check-in time (1 PM) $25.00.

Check-out time is at noon.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served in the dining room daily at 9:00 am. Please let us know of any allergies or dislikes at the time of reservation so that we can do our best to accommodate.

Reservation Information

Rates are based on double occupancy, per night, except where otherwise noted, and include a full breakfast. Additional guests beyond double occupancy are $35, per night, which also includes breakfast.
A credit card is required at the time of reservation and payment must be made in full at the time of arrival. State and local taxes are in addition to the published room rate.
Rates are subject to change without notice.
Weekend rates apply to Friday and Saturday nights, holidays, and special events. A two-night minimum stay is required for most weekends, holidays, and special events that fall in the middle of the week.

Cancellations

Because of our small size, cancellations and no-shows affect us significantly. For this reason, our cancellation policy is STRICTLY enforced.
All holidays and Jefferson Special events (Pilgrimage, Candlelight, Mardi Gras, etc.) require a minimum 2-night stay and a minimum of 14 days advance notice of cancellation. All other cancellations that are not special events require 7-day notice.
If you must cancel or shorten your stay inside of the 14-day or 7-day policy, you will be charged 100% of the stay unless the room is rebooked, at that point a refund will be issued minus a $40 rebooking fee. Every effort will be made to rebook the room.
We do understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, but no-shows and same-day cancellations do not allow us any possibility of rebooking, therefore no refunds will be given. We have already prepared for your arrival and expended resources that cannot be recouped. We highly recommend seeking travel insurance. We do not endorse any particular travel insurance but a few are AIG Travel or Travel Guard.

Children/Pets

Children over 12 are welcome. Although we are animal lovers ourselves we are unable to accommodate pets at this time. Service animals are welcome, please let us know at the time of reservation.

Smoking/Vaping/Candles/Incense

Our home and rooms are 100% smoke-free. You are welcome to smoke outside on porch areas. If evidence of smoking is found in your room a $150 cleaning charge will be applied to your credit card. Incense and candles are not allowed under any circumstances because of the fire hazard.

Damage

If your stay results in damage to furnishings or structure through abuse or negligence you will be held responsible for the replacement, repair, or cleaning charges. Your credit card will be charged for these expenses.

Lost Items

We charge a $20 flat fee to mail any items left behind during your stay that you wish to be returned.
